Unit 4 Loving-kindness Exercise

While trying to do these exercises all week….I realize that I need to live on my own. My 14 year old kept interrupting, then when he left me alone, he kept making all types of noises in the house; which I could hear even with my door close. This was more frustrating than anything. But go figure when they sick and do not want to hear noise the house is silent. I would have to do this when he is not home; I must admit that I really don’t take time out for myself to relax my brain for a few minutes. This exercise would be beneficial.

Mental workouts would be considered you daily exercise routine, but instead for the body it would be for your mind. In order for us to evolve our psychospiritual life, accessing its full capacity and resources we have to exercise our minds daily. The proven benefits would the development of an expanded consciousness and its healing capacities (Dacher, 2006)

The Journey On Relaxation Exercise Unit 2

I am the type of person who likes to relax in an environment that is very peaceful and quite. So it was kind of hard for me to really relax listening to the exercise with the music in the back ground. The voice is calming but when you have all other outside noises interfering. It is hard to focus on the techniques. I would have to practice and recondition my mind to be able to do different types of relaxation exercises.

Welcome Statement Unit 2

Welcome to my blog...I am inspired to be an inspiration to those I come into contact with through out my lifetime. Being able to understand that relationships have power is important. Everyone you become involved with has the ability to influence you. You will establish some semblance of relationship with every person you meet; especially with those in your inner circle. From family members to co-workers, classmates, instructors, church members, store clerks, social clubs, etc., each group or individuals within a group establishes an association with you.

Refelctive Statement Unit 2

My words are seeds for my feelings...what I say determines how I feel because my words create a climate around me. But the words that are unspoken are more dangerous than the ones spoken, because they live in me.

The Mind-Body Connection Unit 3

1. Based on your reflections, and on a scale of 1 to 10 (ten being optimal wellbeing), where do you rate your A-physical wellbeing, B-spiritual well-being, C-psychological well-being? Why?

On a scale of 1 to 10, I rate my physical wellbeing as a 5, because I am still currently trying to find the naturalist way to deal with my PCOS, which at times is very frustrating due to the doctors only wanting to push medications for me take that is not working to help reducing the symptoms. My spiritual well-being I rate it as a 7, I am always seeking spiritual enlightenment, which I truly believe I am close but not close enough. My psychological well-being I rate it as a 7, my spiritual awareness helps me to balance my psychological well-being.

2. Develop a goal for yourself in each area (physical, spiritual, psychological).

I currently have a monthly goal for my physical, which is to find the right natural products that will assist me in reducing the symptoms of PCOS helping to finally loose the weight that was caused by this syndrome and medications that was given. I would love to loose at least 10lbs a month. Spiritual and psychological goals are a constant growth daily.

3. What activities or exercise can you implement in your life to assist in moving toward each goal?

Continued education on holistic healing, finding natural products to help with my overall well-being. Also to continue using meditation, pray and using my faith.

4. Complete the relaxation exercise The Crime of the Century. To hear this exercise, click here. Describe your experience. (What it beneficial? Frustrating?
It was kind of hard to relax without hearing everything going on in the house, such as the AC, refrigerator motors going on. And when I took the deep breaths it made my back hurt a little more, like I was pulling a muscle. I am sure it would have been beneficial if I was really able to concentrate and not focus on the pain I was feeling in back.
